School Staff – Allison Vandenboom

Meet Allison Vandenboom — 1st Grade Teacher

Why I love St. John School?

I love St. John’s because everyone is very welcoming and supportive! It makes me confident that we are all going to accomplish great things throughout the school year, and in our daily lives. I love that our faith can be incorporated into our daily activities, so not only are we all growing academically, but we are all growing together spiritually.

My favorite part of teaching?

It’s hard to pick just one favorite part about teaching because there are so many exciting and wonderful things that happen throughout the course of the year. I truly enjoy the moment a student has mastered a concept. Whether the student is able to pick it up quickly, or it is something we have been working towards, the student is always excited to share and show what they know!

What I like to do outside of school?

In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, my dog, and my friends. Along with spending time with those who mean the most to me, I enjoy reading books, watching all things Wisconsin sports, and spending time outside.
