Meet Mackenzie Kundinger — 5th Grade Teacher
Why I love St. John School?
From the moment that I met the wonderful team at St. John’s, I knew that their number one priority was educating and forming the hearts and minds of young people in our community. In close partnership with parents, we work together to help our children become the young men and women that God intended them to be. St. John’s offers a comprehensive Catholic education in which we are allowed to teach more than just the core content. We offer students opportunities to expand their views of the world and how their God given talents can impact their lives and the lives of others.
My favorite part of teaching?
Teaching is my passion. Being able to integrate faith is definitely a bonus! I have a love for wisdom and knowledge and consider myself a lifelong learner. It is my ultimate goal to instill that love of learning in each and every one of my students. Being a Catholic school teacher allows me to focus on the whole child and helping them grow intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
What I like to do outside of school?
Outside of school, most of my free time is devoted to my amazing husband, Nathan, and our two daughters. However, some of my favorite hobbies include; photography, reading, relaxing outdoors, and playing with our dog, Gracie. My family and I live in Sherwood right next High Cliff State Park. We are hoping to relocate to the Little Chute area very soon, as we love the community so much!
I attended Catholic school up until sixth grade at St. Anthony de Padua in Park Falls, WI. I later attended St. Mary’s High School in Neenah, but finished my last year out and graduated from Kaukauna High School. I continued my education at The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and later obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Middle School education.
