Meet David Becker — Science/History
Why I love St. John School?
I love this school, not for the building, but for the people who make it a home. From the staff, the parish, the community, but most of all the students. I love making connections to the people that make St. John’s my home away from home.
My favorite part of teaching?
It is simply the students. The fact that I get to impart understanding with them, to guide them in all things, and simply to make a difference. As these young people grow, I hope that they remember just one thing that we learned or experienced together during our time at St. John’s.
What I like to do outside of school?
I am an active outdoorsman; I like camping, biking, hiking and kayaking. I like to woodwork/carpentry on my free time. I am an avid reader of science fiction, history (both fiction and non-fiction) and occasionally will go out of my comfort zone for a suggested book, just to remain fresh. I am also a diehard World of Warcraft gamer, though time does not really allow me to be a top-tier gamer anymore.
