TREASURER TRUSTEE – Position available at St. John Nepomucene

TREASURER TRUSTEE – Position available at St. John Nepomucene

Each parish in the Diocese of Green Bay must have Trustee elections. This year, St. John Nepomucene must elect a TREASURER TRUSTEE. This elected Trustee automatically becomes a member of the Finance Council and the term of office is for two (2) years.

At this time, we are asking for names of those who may be interested in this position. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and a practicing Catholic who is interested and involved in parish life. You may submit your own name or the name of another person, as long as you have first sought their permission to do so. You may submit a name by writing it down on the nomination form that is at the Information Desk in the Gathering Space. Also, for an individual to be on a ballot, a person must receive 10 nominations.

Elections will be held June 18th and June 19th and the nomination form will be available in the Gathering Space starting this weekend.

If you have any questions, please contact the parish office at (920) 788-9061. Thank you!

Rite of Sending and Rite of Election – St. John Nepomucene

Rite of Sending and Rite of Election – St. John Nepomucene

Angela Becker, Adam Lamers and Josh McGregor were officially “sent” after the 10 am Mass (Rite of Sending) on Sunday, March 6th to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay for Mass and a blessing by Bishop David Ricken (Rite of Election).

Angela, Adam and Josh have been taking part in the RCIA Program for several months with Deacons Dave Van Eperen and Bruce Corey in anticipation of becoming fully initiated into the Catholic faith at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, April 16th. All are welcome and encouraged to participate in this beautiful liturgy.

Parishes from across our diocese, and throughout the world, annually welcome new Catholics through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). We pray for Angela, Adam and Josh, and all who desire to become Catholic. Those who have not yet been baptized are called Catechumens, and those who have been validly baptized in another Christian tradition and now seek full communion in the Catholic Church are called Candidates. Angela, Adam and Josh will receive the sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation. Josh, as a Catechumen, will also be baptized.

If you are interested in becoming Catholic, please contact the parish office at (920) 788-9061 for more information or click this link. Lessons begin Monday, September 12, 2022 and you will be welcomed into the Church on Holy Saturday which will be held on April 8, 2023. We look forward to journeying with you!

Sidewalk Closed – Update on Construction Project

We have a few updates that we would like to inform you about:

  • As of today, October 19th, the sidewalk on Pine Street (by the side of church and parish office) is being taken out. If you need to come to the parish office, please see how below as we will have two alternate routes during the construction process.
  • Please do NOT drive or walk in the construction zone during normal business hours.
  • Please do NOT move any barricade items that the construction crew has setup for your safety as well as theirs.
  • Door 8 and Door 6 (located off of Pine Street) will be closed at all times during the duration of construction. This includes weekday and weekend Masses.

How do you get to the parish office for your Scrip, Mass intentions and other needs?

  • You can park on Grand Avenue and enter through Door 18. You will go between the school and gym and when you enter Door 18, you will be in Fellowship Hall. You will then go straight, go past the Food Pantry doors, go down the steps and/or ramp and you will enter the parish office the back way.
  • You can also park in the school parking lot and enter through the Gathering Space. From there you will go through Fellowship Hall, take a left, go past the Food Pantry Doors and enter through the back part of the parish office as listed above.

We do appreciate your support and patience while this project is underway!

Should you have any questions, please contact the parish office at (920) 788-9061.
