Used Medical Equipment Needed – The Lions Clubs of the Fox Valley

The Lions Clubs of the Fox Valley have joined together to open a place that will loan out medical equipment .  Late July is our target date to open in Appleton. 

We need to gather gently used and clean medical equipment listed below.  

-Wheelchairs  -Rollators  -Gait Belts  -Walkers  -Ice Machines  -Grabbers  

-Canes  -Travel Chairs  -Crutches  -Toilet Risers/Commodes  -Bed Rails  

-Knee Scooters  -Transfer Benches – Shoe Horns  -Incontinence Supplies

Please bring any of these items to:
312 W. Northland Avenue in Appleton any time between 8 am and 2 pm on June 17th.

St. John Nepomucene Mission Club – Need of Wool Sweaters

The St. John Nepomucene Mission Club is in need of wool sweaters! Our wool mitten supply is seriously low! Any size sweater will work as we wash and shrink them to make our wool mittens.

Please consider donating your wool sweaters to the Mission Club! You may provide them to the parish office during normal business hours. Thank you!

Christmas Flower Fund – St. John Nepomucene

Each year at this time, St. John Nepomucene welcomes donations to the Christmas Flower Fund in memory of departed loved ones. Donations in any amount may be made at the parish office from now until December 12th.

There will be envelopes at the Information Desk too. This not only enables us to decorate St. John Nepomucene during Christmas, but throughout the whole year!

Each year, nearly 2,000 people benefit from Pillars crisis shelter and supportive/affordable housing programs, including street outreach, crisis housing, case management and diversion from homelessness. Together, we are rebuilding lives and strengthening our community.

Last year we changed the way in which we were doing Giving Tree, due to staff shortages and found that implementing a system where we had drop-off times helped us a lot. As this allowed us to focus our main attention on the clients who need our support. We want to thank you in advance for being flexible and for continuing to support those in our community who need it most!

If you would like to support Pillars by doing a donation drive during the holiday season, we are so grateful! Below are a few ways to create your own Giving Tree!

Concretes for a Cause – November 14th – 18th (Culver’s in Little Chute)

Culver’s of Little Chute is going to be running an event called “Concretes for a Cause”.

This event will run from from November 14th – 18th. During that time frame, Culver’s will donate $1.00 for each concrete sold (all sizes included) to the St. John Nepomucene Food Pantry!
