Prayer Partner for our First Communicants at St. John Nepomucene

Prayer Partner for our First Communicants at St. John Nepomucene

Prayer can be a beautiful gift. Are you looking for an opportunity to support someone on their spiritual journey through prayer? If so, being a prayer partner for a child preparing for the Sacrament of First Communion at St. John Nepomucene this spring might be just what you are looking for!

We have 67 students anxiously preparing to receive the Body and Blood of Christ, and a prayer partner to help them spiritually on their journey is so very important.

If you are interested, please provide your name, address, phone number and email address to Kelly in our Faith Development Office at kufi@stjn.org or call (920) 788-9033. She will then pair you with a child (add a name if you would like a specific child).

This is a great opportunity to share with your older children as you pray together for a First Communicant. Thank you so much for your consideration, may God bless you!

The ACTS Prayer Method

The acronym ACTS stands for adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.  This model of prayer prioritizes our time with God so we first approach Him with reverence (adoration), then repent of the sin in our life (confession), then express our gratitude to Him for all He has done (thanksgiving), and finally submit to Him our requests (supplication).

A great habit to incorporate into your daily prayer life.

A great tip for building your faith is to find a good Catholic Community to join or at least a few good Catholic friends to encourage you on. We need community. It is the reason Jesus gathered His 12 Apostles together. When He sent them out, He sent them in pairs. It is not good for us to be alone, even more so as we strive to be disciples in a world that lives so contrary to the Gospel.

Find friendship here at St. John Nepomucene by seeking good Catholic friends or looking into one of our amazing ministries. There is always a place for you here!
