Why I love St. John School?

I love St. John School because the staff is friendly and inviting. This is my first year teaching, and I was welcomed in with open arms and encouragement. The teachers and staff here are clearly passionate about what they do for the students. 

My favorite part of teaching?

My favorite part of teaching so far has been watching the kids’ eyes light up when they first grasp and understand a new concept. It is encouraging to see them learn and implement new concepts and ideas in the classroom. 

What I like to do outside of school?

Outside of school I like to spend my time outside. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, target practice, sports and watching student’s sports. I also enjoy traveling, art and writing. 

My education

I studied at Upper Iowa University and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice. I also have formal leadership training through the military.

My professional training

I currently have my substitute teacher’s license for the state of Wisconsin, and I am working towards my certification to become a full-time teacher.
