Middle School (Grades 6-8)

Grades 6 – 8 Faith Development Class Curriculum

Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program. It provides a safe, fun place for youth to find a strong Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Edge resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational and spiritual maturation of middle school youth. The resources present Catholic teaching in a way that young people can understand.  Students are actively engaged in their faith using content that is relevant to teens.  Creativity isn’t in short supply when it comes to our Edge Nights.  Our program looks to captivate our young people with excitement, while deepening their relationship with Jesus and His Church.

This free, yearly event is open to all St. John Nepomucene families and takes place in the summer, rain or shine, in the green space area across from St. John Nepomucene School from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Youth in grades 5 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

National Day of Prayer Event

The National Day of Prayer is observed on the first Thursday in May across the United States every year. This day asks people to turn to God in prayer and meditation. During our Wednesday Faith Development classes that week, we proudly walk as a group to the Little Chute Windmill Plaza, displaying signs with messages of faith, hope and prayer. Once at the Windmill, a short prayer service is held.
