Reverent Prayer Time –
Eucharistic Adoration

Third Thursday of each Month
Will occur on: May 16, 2024

1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (in church)

What is Adoration? Adoration is a quiet time spent in prayer before Jesus present in the Eucharist. It is a sign of devotion and worship of Jesus Christ, who is believed by Catholics to be present in body, soul, and divinity, under the appearance of the consecrated host.

If you are interested in spending silent prayer time in front of the Blessed Sacrament at St. John Nepomucene, the church will be available every third Thursday for Eucharistic Adoration. Please stop in at any time between 1 pm – 7 pm for prayer!

We will have an individual lead the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 pm.

If you would like to be added to the list of individuals who take hour(s) for Adoration or have any questions; please contact Tammy at (920) 202-1631 or via email at:  tammyspidle@gmail.com.

Blessed Is She – Women’s Bible Study Group

Tuesday Evenings (Room 112/113)
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

We will be starting a new book study called “Misericordia” – Blessed Conversations Study on the Works of Mercy on April 9th. This study is part of the Blessed Is She series in our bible study.

Each one of us has a daily need for mercy. And faithfully, the Lord offers His merciful love to us daily. We never deserve it, but He always gives it.

The Latin word for ‘mercy’ is misericordia — a combination of the words meaning ‘misery’ and ‘heart’. Our hearts, worn down by sin, meet the Father’s Heart, full of forgiveness. And He calls us to offer that same mercy to others.

MISERICORDIA, a Blessed Conversations study, dives into the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. We’ll discover how we can take intentional steps to serve the lives around us, reflecting the generous love of the Father.

Filled with Scripture, stories of lay holy lives, and thought-provoking questions to ponder, MISERICORDIA has everything you need to begin living out your faith every day. While learning about others, you will gain fresh inspiration to take action right where you are.

Young Adult Bible Study
Parish Library
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Young Adult Bible Study meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the parish library (located in the Gathering Space by the Coffee Bar).

They will be discussing the book called “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis. They will also read the Lectio Divina for the Gospel for the upcoming weekend. All are welcome to join when it works for you!

A Masterpiece of Satire on Hell’s Latest Novelties and Heaven’s Unanswerable Answer

C.S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the unique vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to “Our Father Below.” The Screwtape Letters is the most engaging account of temptation—and triumph over it—ever written.
