CIA-Faith Mission Operatives ministry is excited to announce: “AI – Why It Matters to Pope Leo” by Terry Mattingly on April 27th at Xavier Fine Arts

AI (an acronym for artificial intelligence) has been a major concern of Pope Leo since the beginning of his pontificate. He has spoken often about it and warned people of faith to be wary of the risks posed by this and other technologies that contribute to today’s dominant digital culture.

Because of the Pope’s concerns, our 2025-2026 Investigate Your Faith Series will wrap up its season with AI – WHY IT MATTERS TO POPE LEO, a presentation by Terry Mattingly, on Monday, April 27th at 7 p.m. in the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre.

Mattingly is a nationally recognized veteran journalist and professor who’s been writing about religion in American life for more than four decades. (Check him out at Rational Sheep blog and podcast.)

CIA-Faith Mission Operatives ministry is excited to announce: “Encountering God on Death’s Doorstep – Part 2” with Ed Jozsa on March 30th at Xavier Fine Arts

When we kicked off our 2025-2026 Investigate Your Faith series last fall, this was a “hole” in our schedule. But once we heard Part 1 of Ed Jozsa’s miraculous NDE (Near Death Experience) story in October, we knew that Part 2 was the program meant for this Holy Week spot all along.

On Monday, March 30th at 7 p.m. in the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre, Ed Jozsa will present “ENCOUNTERING GOD on Death’s Doorstep – Part 2″, his fascinating account of mystical experiences that occurred during and after he was crushed and trapped in his car for hours following an accident. Coming to Appleton from Indiana, Ed will give a brief recap of Part 1 before continuing with his story that focuses on how his suffering helped him go deeper into Christ’s Passion and what it means to take up one’s own cross.
