Meet Kevin Flottmeyer — Principal
Serving St. John Nepomucene School since 2017
What I like to do outside of school?
My wife Katie and I have been happily married since 1999. Our family moved to Appleton late in the summer of 2012. We have two sons. Our son Sam attends Appleton East High School, and our son Eddie attends Xavier High School. I enjoy spending time with my family/friends, being active, sports, reading, anything “Wisconsin related”, and traveling back to La Crosse. I have coached football, softball, and middle school wrestling, and I am working on getting sanctioned as a WIAA football referee.
My education
Born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, I am a proud graduate of St. James School and La Crosse Aquinas High School (class of 1990). I participated in football, wrestling, concert choir, and marching band. In 1996 I graduated from UW-La Crosse majoring in elementary education and minoring in mathematics. I earned a master’s degree in special education at St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota in 2012. I earned a master’s degree in educational administration at Marian University in the spring of 2017.
My professional training
Before joining St. John Nepomucene School I taught special education at Einstein Middle School. I was the summer school site coordinator at Richmond Elementary School in Appleton. Before teaching at Einstein Middle School I taught at Chileda in La Crosse. I was also a conference presenter for the Midwest Autism Conference, the Western Technical College Autism Conference, and the Hiawatha Valley School District Autism Conference.
