Job Opening at St. John Nepomucene – Discipleship & Hospitality Coordinator

Job Summary: The Coordinator of Discipleship & Hospitality must be a joyful Christ-centered team player who is capable of leading and directing formation, mission and outreach opportunities. The primary focus of this position will be on developing joy-filled missionary disciples within the parish and community through accompaniment, small group gatherings and outreach opportunities. This position is full-time, 40 hours/week.

*** Our Summer Supper team have shared that due to the heat warnings for Wednesday, July 23rd, the Summer Supper that was scheduled is being CANCELLED. *** 

The next Summer Supper will be held August 13th. 

All are welcome for a dine-in meal at the Darboy School located at W2796 County Rd KK in Appleton (Darboy).

As with each summer, our suppers will be on Wednesdays at 4:30pm, at our same location.  This will be for June, July and August, returning to Sundays in September. The date for August is August 13th. 

We would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone who could use a delicious meal and good company! This meal is FREE of charge!

All are welcome to join us for our 72nd Annual St. John-Sacred Heart Picnic and Car Show on August 3rd.

There will be an outdoor Mass at St. John – Sacred Heart at 10:30 a.m. The car show will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. There will be live music, games, a silent auction and so much more!

Rock Cancer – Join us on August 16th at Doyle Park

The Spierings Cancer Foundation’s 17th Annual Rock Cancer Event is scheduled for August 16th at Doyle Park in Little Chute starting at 1:00 p.m.!

Rock Cancer is the primary annual fundraiser for Spierings Cancer Foundation. It is a day-long celebration of life, music and fun, held on the 3rd Saturday of August each year at Doyle Park in Little Chute, WI. People of all ages come early and stay late to enjoy food, drink, games, raffles, a silent auction—and of course, plenty of music!

Funds raised during Rock Cancer provide financial support to local families affected by cancer, enhance medical care for patients in the Fox Cities and fund cancer research in Wisconsin.

The 16th Annual Rock Cancer event in 2024 raised more than $300,000!

$2,177,516 dollars raised by the Spierings Cancer foundation to date. Thanks to the help of awesome people like you!!!

Our Rock Cancer Committee is the heart and soul of the event. Without this hard-working and dedicated team we would not have had this astounding success. We truly appreciate them. Learn more about the committee.

Together as a community, we have raised over 2 MILLION dollars to support the Spierings Cancer Foundation’s mission.

Rock Cancer Prayer Service
Join us on Thursday, August 14th at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for our Rock Cancer Prayer Service. During this Prayer Service, we will stand with your loved ones who are battling cancer, honor the survivors and remember the ones who have passed away.

Voices of Peace Gospel – Music Festival 2025

Voices of Peace Gospel – Music Festival 2025

All are welcome to join us on August 15th and August 16th at the Hilbert Civic Park located on Highway 57/32 in Hilbert, WI. The “Voices of Peace” will host their 20th annual Gospel Fest from 11 am until 7 pm on Friday, August 15th and 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday, August 16th.

No admission fees will be charged, just a freewill donation with 100% of the monies going back to the bands. Bring your lawn chairs, bring your family and be ready for a spirit filled weekend. Please NO carry-ins!

There will be 15 performing groups, playing country, bluegrass and southern gospel music from across the country. Food, snacks and refreshments will be available on the grounds. Brats and hamburgers on Friday and Saturday; fish fry on Friday and chicken breasts on Satruday.

Rosary Community Nights
July 9th (Patriotic Rosary) and July 23rd (Nature Rosary). Join us for an optional picnic, a living rosary with music, and many fun farm activities with a social to follow. 

Farm Days and Overnight Stays
Starting mid-July, we will be opening on Fridays and Saturdays for visitors to spend the day at the farm and  also opportunities to stay overnight in our unique sheep wagon and yurt tent.
