Vocations Awareness Week is November 3rd through November 9, 2024

National Vocation Awareness Week, celebrated November 3rd – November 9, 2024, is an annual week-long celebration of the Catholic Church in the United States dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations.

Please ask Our Lord for more dedicated, holy priests, deacons, and consecrated men and women. May they be inspired by Jesus Christ, supported by our faith community, and respond generously to God’s gift of vocation.

All are welcome to join us for the 8:00 a.m. Mass on Monday, November 11th in honor of Veterans Day, followed by a wonderful breakfast in Fellowship Hall.

St. John Nepomucene – Church Cleaning Volunteers Needed

St. John Nepomucene – Church Cleaning Volunteers Needed

St. John Nepomucene Church Cleaning occurs on the first Monday of the month (unless it falls on a holiday, then it is held on the following Monday). We are looking for more volunteers who would like to donate their time and help us clean!

You may attend the 6:45 a.m. Communion Service and then help with the cleaning afterwards or simply come at 7:30 a.m. and meet in the Gathering Space. Light cleaning is performed which consists of dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and other miscellaneous items.

Depending on how many volunteers come, cleaning usually takes about 1.5 hours or less! Help when you are able and stay as long as you are able! You will be doing a great service to your parish all while enjoying fellowship and then indulge on some great dessert bars and refreshments afterwards!

October Explanation Station – St. John Nepomucene Adult Faith Formation

A great tip for building your faith is to find a good Catholic Community to join or at least a few good Catholic friends to encourage you on. We need community. It is the reason Jesus gathered His 12 Apostles together. When He sent them out, He sent them in pairs. It is not good for us to be alone, even more so as we strive to be disciples in a world that lives so contrary to the Gospel.

Find friendship here at St. John Nepomucene by seeking good Catholic friends or looking into one of our amazing ministries. There is always a place for you here!

Baked Good Needed – Support the St. John School Builders Club on November 3rd

The SJS Builders Club will be having a bake sale at the St. John Hometown Christmas Craft Fair on November 3rd from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the gymnasium’s concession stand.

For information on the Craft Sale, please click here!

They would greatly appreciate any donations of baked goods including gluten free and sugar free goods. No need to pre-package the goods, they will do that for you.

Drop off your baked goods at the gymnasium on:

  • Friday, November 1st from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 2nd from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 3rd any time after 6 a.m.

This is a great way to help our school, especially for those parents, grandparents, family members and friends who want to help out and have been looking for an easy way to do so.

SJS Home & School presents their Hometown Christmas Craft Sale on November 3rd!

All are welcome to attend – FREE entry too! Come and have a great turkey luncheon in the Fellowship Hall and shop for some great finds! There will items in the school cafeteria and gymnasium! We have great raffle baskets to win, an amazing bake sale and so many vendors to shop from! Come and stop by on November 3rd!
