Registration is open for the Little Flowers Girls’ Club at St. John Nepomucene

Registration is currently open through Friday, September 13th for the Little Flowers Girls’ Club at St. John Nepomucene! Little Flowers is open to girls in grades kindergarten through 3rd in the parish, schools and the local area.

St. John Nepomucene offers a modified version of Little Flowers, which is a Catholic girls group centered on learning virtues by studying individual saints. Virtues are learned through presentations, crafts and activities.  Each year a “wreath” is worked on for the blue Blessed Mother sashes the girls wear at the meetings.  The wreath is made up of 9 flower petals for the 9 virtues studied that year. Petals are earned by participating in the monthly meetings, service projects, and completing follow-up activities at home.

The Catholic Church is the oldest and largest branch of Christianity, with roots in Rome and a history that goes back almost 2,000 years. It was the only Christian church for the first 1,000 years of Christianity, and all other Christian churches today can trace their lineage back to it.

The Catholic Church is led by the pope, who is also the Bishop of Rome, and rules from Vatican City, a separate country within Rome, Italy.
