Updated Stipend and Stole Fee Structure – Effective July 1, 2024

Updated Stipend and Stole Fee Structure – Effective July 1, 2024

The Diocese of Green Bay and our parishes are grateful to all those who have generously provided a donation for Masses, funerals, weddings and Quinceaneras in the past. The donation for these sacraments and services has remained the same for over thirty years throughout the Dioceses of Wisconsin. Recently, when the Bishops of the State of Wisconsin gathered, they decreed that stipends should be adjusted to reflect the current time. The new stipend structure is as follows:

Mass Stipend — $20
      Funeral Stole Fee — $75
      Wedding & Quinceanera Stole Fee — $100

This new fee structure will become effective July 1, 2024. It will not be applied retroactively to those who have already paid the appropriate amount from the former fee scale. The new fee structure will be applied to all new requests received as of July 1, 2024. As always, if someone is not able to offer the stipend, the parish is always happy to provide the sacrament or service with no fee. Please know, too, that any stipend money collected goes to the parish in support of its ministry and services provided to the parish
community; it does not go personally to the priest.

Please contact the parish office at (929) 788-9061 if you have any questions.

2024 Walk to Mary will be held at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4th

The 2024 Walk to Mary will be held at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 4th. The walk is a 21-mile pilgrimage from the National Shrine of St. Joseph at Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus in De Pere to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. There are several points along the route to join if you wish to make your pilgrimage shorter.

A “Walk with the Children,” a 1.7-mile segment to accommodate children, families and individuals who are challenged to walk longer distances, is a part of the event. The walk kicks off with a prayer service and blessing and concludes with Mass.

For parish leaders, both staff and volunteers! Imagine what our communities would look like if each parish had a group of staff and parishioners formed and equipped to accompany others and serve as leaders in any ministry.

The Missionary Leadership Institute is designed for a wide variety of parish leaders to:
* discern their vocation, their particular call to holiness
* be formed as leaders who will evangelize and disciple others
* serve more effectively as lay ecclesial ministers (parish staff)
