Prince of Peace Jingle & Mingle – January 7th

Join us on Saturday, January 7th for our 2nd Annual Jingle & Mingle!

Start with Mass at 4:30 p.m. with the Mingle Social kicking off at 5:30 p.m. and the Jingle Concert at 6:00 p.m. This event will showcase the full POP Music Ministries.

Prince of Peace Cookie Walk & Candy Sale – December 17th

Join us for our 2nd Annual delicious event, just in time for the holidays, on Saturday, December 17th from 8 – 11 a.m. This is at Prince of Peace located at 3425 Willow Rd, Green Bay, WI 54311.

We will have holiday cookies and candy available for purchase, just $8 per pound!

We are excited to announce A Visit with Santa Claus from 8:30 – 10 a.m. (take your own pictures, too)! Hot Apple Cider and coffee will be available. Come and enjoy the fun of choosing your favorite holiday treats.

Join us for this FREE, family-friendly, faith-filled event on Sunday, December 11th after the 10 a.m. Mass at Prince of Peace (located at 3425 Willow Rd in Green Bay).

– Breakfast, Children’s crafts and secret shopping at the Magi Market
– Bring Baby Jesus from your home Nativity to be blessed

Contact our parish office with a family name and count so we can plan enough food. Goodwill offerings for food are accepted and sincerely appreciated.

All items available to shop for in the Magi Market are typically smaller amounts ($1-$5/each).

Join us for TRIVIA NIGHT at the POP Parish Center on Thursday, December 1st.

Themed just right for Advent and Christmas, feel free to wear an ugly sweater (prizes for best dressed). We are excited to bring back A Couple Rocks Trivia with host Rocky! Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

We’ll have plenty of food & drinks, plus prizes and fun at this FREE event for our Young Adult community. We are so excited to see you, soon!

Pillars Giving Tree – Appleton

Pillars Giving Tree – Appleton

Each year, nearly 2,000 people benefit from Pillars crisis shelter and supportive/affordable housing programs, including street outreach, crisis housing, case management and diversion from homelessness. Together, we are rebuilding lives and strengthening our community.

Last year we changed the way in which we were doing Giving Tree, due to staff shortages and found that implementing a system where we had drop-off times helped us a lot. As this allowed us to focus our main attention on the clients who need our support. We want to thank you in advance for being flexible and for continuing to support those in our community who need it most!

If you would like to support Pillars by doing a donation drive during the holiday season, we are so grateful! Below are a few ways to create your own Giving Tree!

“BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD” Advent Concerts

“BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD” Advent Concerts

As we prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ on Christmas, the season of Advent sometimes flies by without us appreciating it. There is a wonderful opportunity to experience Advent – the “Behold the Lamb of God” Advent Concert. Music written and originally performed by Andrew Peterson, features many area musicians and vocalists, especially from St. Katharine Drexel and Holy Cross of Kaukauna and Hollandtown, and St. John Nepomucene in Little Chute. It features Deacon Dave Van Eperen, Lance Lamers, Mike Van Hoof and Tim Van Eperen of St. John Nepomucene parish.

Under the leadership of Nathan Vande Hey, they are now in their 12th year of performing these in the Fox Valley and surrounding areas! It is the story of salvation history in less than an hour. No tickets required, but a free will offering will be taken, with proceeds donated to charity. This year, the program will be presented 4 times and they are listed below:

Wednesday, November 30th – Kaukauna High School at 7:00 p.m.
(sponsored by the Kaukauna Catholic Parishes)

Wednesday, December 7th – St. Nick’s in Freedom – 7:00 p.m.

Monday, December 12th – Xavier High School in Appleton – 7:00 p.m. (CIA-FMO event)

Wednesday, December 21st – St. Mary Help of Christians in Hilbert (108 S. 6th Street) – 7:00 p.m. (sponsored by the Tri-Parish Catholic Faith Communities – which includes St. John-Sacred Heart Parish in Sherwood and St. Mary of the Seven Dolors in Stockbridge.)

Thanksgiving Day Mass at St. John Nepomucene

St. John Nepomucene will be having a Thanksgiving Mass on November 24th at 8:00 a.m. We are asking for food and financial donations to help the St. John Nepomucene Food Pantry. If you are not able to attend Mass on Thanksgiving, please feel free to bring your donation to the parish office or place your food items in the wicker baskets at the entry of the church. Concretes for a Cause – November 14th – 18th (Culver’s in Little Chute)

Culver’s of Little Chute is going to be running an event called “Concretes for a Cause”.

This event will run from from November 14th – 18th. During that time frame, Culver’s will donate $1.00 for each concrete sold (all sizes included) to the St. John Nepomucene Food Pantry!
