School Staff – Kelly Fiedorowicz

Meet Kelly Fiedorowicz — 5th Grade Teacher

Why I love St. John School?

I have substitute taught here for many years, and I have always liked how friendly and welcoming the staff members have been.  I have always liked the small class sizes and how the students would remember me every time I came into their classroom.

My favorite part of teaching?

My favorite part of teaching is taking the subjects that the students find hard to learn and teaching those subjects to them in a way that makes them understand them and hopefully they come to like those subjects.

What I like to do outside of school?

Outside of school I like to spend time with my husband and my two sons.  We like to travel and experience new places and things together.  I also really like to play tennis and have recently learned how to play pickleball, too.

My education

I have a teaching degree with a Health minor from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point.

My professional training

I started teaching fifth grade in New London at Most Precious Blood School.  After 5 years there my husband and I moved to Augusta, Georgia where I taught 5th grade at St. Mary on the Hill School for 5 years.  When we moved back I taught Middle School Social Studies and Gym at Sacred Heart School in Sherwood for a few years.  The last 9 years I have substitute taught here at St. Johns and in the Kimberly School district.
