National Eucharistic Pilgrimage – June 12th through June 18th – Northern Marian Route in the Diocese of Green Bay

Plans for the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage through the Diocese of Green Bay from June 12th through June 18th are now complete!

“Be Like Mary. Walk With Jesus” during one of several public events around the diocese.
The complete itinerary of daily events which are all open to the public are available on the diocesan website at www.gbdioc.org. Some events ask for registration; this is purely for planning purposes. Know that all are welcome to join in the public walks, Holy Hours and
Adorations.


Also, mark your calendar to join the pilgrimage on Sunday, June 16th at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion. Bishop Ricken will begin the afternoon with Mass at 2 p.m.,
followed by a procession/rosary walk on the Shrine grounds. The celebration concludes
with snacks and fellowship as Jesus continues His pilgrimage in the diocese.

Calling all current middle school boys!  Bring yourself and a friend June 17th through June 19th to St. Lawrence Seminary High School in Mt. Calvary, WI for three (3) days of field Olympics, games, team building, and faith.

St. John Athletic Association hosting the Cheddar Chase 2024 Fun Run/Walk on June 1st

The 18th Annual Cheddar Chase is a family oriented non-competitive 1 mile walk/run. This will be held on Saturday, June 1st at 10:25 a.m. The Cheese Festival parade will follow starting at 10:30 a.m. Come join the fun!

Starting line is located at the corner of Sanatorium Road and Main Street in Little Chute. Finish line is located in the heart of downtown Little Chute. Water is served halfway as participants cross Buchanan Street and at the finish near Pine Street.

Cash/check registration fee of $10.00. T-shirts are handed out at registration on a first come first serve basis. Click here for a registration form.

The Green Bay Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will be welcoming back Marian Day this year. Marian Day will be held at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in New Franken on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The theme this year will be “Mary, Virgin Most Powerful.”

Our guest speaker will be Father Edward Looney, Pastor at Sacred Heart Parish – Shawano, Author, Documentary Host and Podcaster. The day begins at 8:30 AM and a final farewell will be at approximately 3:00 PM. Your day will consist of Mass, May Crowning, reflections of Mary, lunch, Rosary, Benediction and Adoration of the Holy Eucharist.

The cost is $30.00 per person. Deadline for registration is May 13, 2024.

We know how difficult suffering a loss can be, but grief is a journey and you do not have to do it alone. You are welcome to attend our upcoming Grieving With Great Hope series from April 30th through May 28th.

Grieving with Great HOPE (with grief peer group discussions)

This is a five-week grief support workshop series that offers a prayerful, practical and personal approach for anyone who is mourning the loss of a loved one.

If you have lost a spouse, a child (including pregnancy loss), a grandchild, a parent, another family member or a friend, you are encouraged to attend Good Mourning Ministry, a Catholic bereavement apostolate.

Registration is $10/person. Scholarships are available for this program to those with financial hardships.  Please contact Deb Wegner-Hohensee for information.
