May Explanation Station from St. John Adult Faith Formation
Preparing hearts for the Ascension of the Lord
Ascension is a time to teach our children that by living the faith, the day will come when “we all shall be taken up in clouds to meet Christ and to be with our Lord forever.” As joint heirs of heaven, we must keep before their eyes and ours the fact that this was the reason for our creation. We must also stress the words of Christ, our Brother, words of consolation for us at His Ascension: “I go to prepare a place for YOU.”
Our prayers for Ascension Sunday (May 29th) must indicate triumph, because Jesus has accomplished the world’s redemption. They must also express the joy with which the angelic choirs are preparing to lead Him to His throne and to adore Him. “Lift up your gates, oh ye princes, and the King of glory shall enter in.”

So much energy last weekend at St. John Nepomucene!
What a blast it was to have the Holy Grounds Coffee Bar reopened and for the return of our Fellowship Sunday that the Knights of Columbus puts on! Not only did we get to celebrate Father Ron and Deacon Bruce’s birthdays as a parish family, but Children’s Liturgy returned to our 10 am Mass and we had 75 children attend! You could feel the energy!
Our Confirmation students and sponsors attended our 10 am Mass as well and St. John’s Little Flowers’ Girls Club were amazing greeters last weekend too! Thank you to everyone who was able to be there and help celebrate with us and those that joined us via livestream!
Join us this weekend again for Mass and then coffee, cookies and juice at the Coffee Bar. Children’s Liturgy will be at the 10 am Mass again!
