National Marriage Week – February 7th through 14th

Join us in celebrating National Marriage Week that will be held from February 7th through 14th!

Join us in celebrating National Marriage Week from February 7th through February 14th! National Marriage Week is a special time to reflect on the beautiful gift of the sacrament of matrimony. This year’s theme from the USCCB is “Man and Woman He Created Them: Together with Purpose”, inviting couples to strengthen their bond and deepen their lifelong commitment to each other.

We invite couples to strengthen their bond and deepen their lifelong commitment to each other. There is an “At Home Retreat” to be done at your own convenience, please visit: www.usccb.org/resources/NMW_2026_At-Home_Retreat1.pdf.

Here is one main reason people choose to be (and remain) Catholic:

Jesus founded a Church, not just a book.

Catholics believe Jesus established a visible Church, built on the apostles, with Peter as its head (Matthew 16:18). The Catholic Church traces its leadership and teaching authority directly back to them through apostolic succession.

This means the faith isn’t reinvented every generation—it’s handed on.

What are some ways I can help my family and friends love Jesus more deeply?

Practice Forgiveness
Model forgiveness when you are wronged, and extend grace, mercy and patience in your interactions.

Be a Living Example
People learn more from what you do than what you say. Let them see that Jesus is your top priority, especially during challenging times.

Talk about Jesus —
Make Jesus a part of everyday conversations.

Foster Godly Friendships —
Surround yourself with people who might want to strengthen their walk with Jesus.

It’s important for us as Catholic Christians, as we defend our faith, to note that we do not worship Mary or the saints; we HONOR them and ask for their intercession, just like asking a friend to pray for us. One beautiful way to ask for Mary’s intercession is to pray a daily Rosary to encourage deeper devotion to her and to bring us closer to Christ.

Blessed Mother, pray for us. Jesus, have mercy on us.
