SPIRITUS Radiate Gala – November 8, 2025
Join SPIRITUS Ministries for the Radiate Gala on Friday, November 8th. The evening begins with Mass at 4:00 pm at St. Mary, Menasha, followed by the gala at 5:15 pm at the Bridgewood Resort featuring dinner, auctions, games, and $5,000 in cash prizes. FORMED Video of the Month for August – St. John Nepomucene
The FORMED Video of the Month is “Radiating Joy: The Michelle Duppong Story”. The Michelle Duppong story is the story of Servant of God Michelle Duppong, who bore witness to Christ through heroic suffering and a passion for inviting others to be transformed by His love.
In 2014, Michelle was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer while serving as the Director of Adult Faith Formation for the Diocese of Bismarck. Before that, Duppong had served as a FOCUS missionary for six years. She battled the disease with perseverance and a docile spirit until December 25, 2015, when she passed away at the age of 31. On November 1, 2022, Bishop David Kagan celebrated the Opening Mass for the Cause of Canonization.

Pillars Summer Donation Drive – July 9th through July 23rd
Pillars’ Summer Donation Drive will run July 9th through July 23rd and is completely digital, making it easier than ever to get involved and support basic needs for our Fox Cities neighbors!
The Summer Donation Drive is accessible through Pillars’ Amazon wish list. All items will be shipped directly to Pillars’ main office at 605 E Hancock St in Appleton.

St. John’s Athletic Association 31st Annual Golf Scramble!
Join us on Saturday, August 23rd for the St. John’s Athletic Association 31st Annual Golf Scramble at Irish Waters in Freedom. The Shot Gun start time starts at 9:00 a.m.!
The fee for each golfer will be $80 before August 1st or $85 after August 1st. This will include 18 holes of golf with carts, food, beverages, prizes and great fun!

Biking for Babies – Renewing the Culture of Life – July 12th through July 20th
Biking for Babies is an organization that seeks to renew the culture of life by 1) forming young adults into missionaries of the Gospel of life, 2) increasing awareness for pregnancy resource centers (PRCs), and 3) raising financial and spiritual support for pregnant mothers in need.
Since 2009, B4B has formed 250+ young adults in the Gospel of life, raised awareness for 150+ PRCs, and given over $2M to support families nationwide. Our missionaries go through formation from March to August, but in July, we have our National Ride, during which 9 different teams bike 600+ miles on 9 different routes across the nation to raise money and awareness for PRCs.
Each missionary, whether they are a rider or a support crew member (those who serve the riders) has a fundraising goal and is raising money themselves. Money can be donated to B4B year round, but for it to go to a specific missionary’s goal, the donations are accepted from March to August.
My name is Gretchen Ortner. I live in Appleton, but I grew up in Kaukauna and my mom is a teacher at St John’s, Lisa Ortner. I am also a Biking for Babies missionary.
