October 11th – Traveling Rosary For Vocations

October 11th – Traveling Rosary For Vocations

Barb Kimme Memorial Traveling Rosary for Vocations: All men and women young and old, are invited to help us pray for our Diocese and an increase in vocations. According to the Vocation Ministry Analysis from 2015-2021, the state of priestly vocations in our Green Bay Diocese meets 3 criteria to be considered as “unhealthy”.

To help raise an awareness and assist in rectifying this situation, we the GB Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, have decided our best course of action is prayer to our Lord. We are sponsoring a sort of 9-month novena for vocations. We will gather at 9 different churches every 2nd Wednesday of the month from March – November. The agenda includes song, prayer, speaker and reception. Our eighth date and location is:

Wednesday, October 11th at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, NOTE ADDRESS & TIME CHANGE: 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna 54130 from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm. We will be praying with the Religious Education classes 1st – 8th. Newly ordained Fr. Pribbenow will be our speaker.

Fore more information, please contact 920-323-3243 or visit www.gbdccw.org or follow us on Facebook, gbdccw.

FORMED Video of the Month for September – St. John Nepomucene

FORMED Video of the Month for September – St. John Nepomucene

The FORMED Video of the Month is “Can the Homeless Keep You From Hell?”.

Have you ever came upon a homeless person on a street corner and you felt that nudge to do something but your scared and you don’t know what is helpful? So you avoid eye contact. Jesus makes it crystal clear that we need to serve the poor. Yet every time we see an opportunity, we feel intimidated. How do we get over that?

Take the advice of Blake Brouillette, a young man who’s the director of Christ in the City, a ministry to the poor. For eight years now, he’s been working with people on the streets. Learn how to treat and feel about the homeless as Chris Stefanick interviews Blake Brouillette. Let’s do as Jesus taught us and help serve the poor.

You may view this video called “Can the Homeless Keep You From Hell?” with Blake Brouillette | Chris Stefanick Show on FORMED by clicking this link:
