We need to be constantly reminded that “the Church is not a man-made society of like-minded people who are trying to live Christian lives and to exert some kind of Christian influence upon the world. The Catholic Church is a community created and called by God.
Its task is evangelization and salvation: to be an instrument of God’s work in the world focused in the saving and liberating mission of Jesus Christ. It must, therefore, look to the Holy Spirit for the power to accomplish it.

Marriage Prep Class on October 19th at St. John Nepomucene
St. John Nepomucene’s fall Marriage Prep Class will take place on Saturday, October 19th in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending with the group attending the 4:30 p.m. Mass.

Christmas Stars ticket sales are open online and at the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre box office!
Box office hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from noon until 3pm. Come and be delighted by a spectacular Broadway-style revue featuring religious and secular holiday music performed by a cast of singers, dancers and actors ages five to senior citizen.
Experience the dazzling Christmas parade, a visit from Santa and the breathtaking “Living Nativity” finale. All performances will be held at the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre, 1600 Prospect Avenue, Appleton from December 5th through 8th and from December 12th through 15th.
An American Sign Language interpreter will be provided at the 1:00 pm performance on December 7th. The fully accessible theatre is equipped with a hearing loop.

To visit the Xavier Theatre box office, please use the main theatre entrance, Door #1, located under the arched canopy. 10 minute courtesy parking along the curb is available during box office hours.

St. John Nepomucene “Love Thy Neighbor” FREE Meal – September 21st
Please join us after the 4:30 p.m. Mass as we hold our “Love Thy Neighbor” Meal!
When you leave the 4:30 p.m. Mass on September 21st, please help yourself to a FREE meal which includes a brat, hamburger, hot dog and condiments.
This will be held under the canopy (front entrance of church) and please take along another meal with you to provide to a family member, friend, neighbor or a stranger!

St. John Nepomucene – Sacristans for Mass Needed
St. John Nepomucene is in urgent need for MORE Sacristans! It is a great way to provide service to your parish! You schedule based on your availability and at which Mass. Please prayerfully consider volunteering for such a great cause!

St. John Nepomucene Prayer Shawl Ministry – September 14th and September 15th
Our lovely prayer shawls will be available the weekend of September 14th and September 15th after all Masses. Please feel free to take one for yourself, a loved one or for someone you may know that would enjoy having one.
Also, feel free to stop any time at the parish office or you may take one from the basket in the Gathering Space .

Calling all High School Students! Join us for Homecoming Mass on September 28th!
Start off your Homecoming with the beautiful tradition at St. John Nepomucene where you attend the 4:30 p.m. Mass and receive a special blessing!
