On Sunday, September 18, 2022 over 5,000 athletes participating in the Community First Fox Cities Marathon, ThedaCare Half Marathon, and the Orthopedic & Sports Institute Relay Marathon will be passing through the Fox Cities!  The races start at 7:00 a.m. at the UWO-Fox Cities campus in Menasha and will finish at Riverside Park in Neenah.  We’re excited to be celebrating 31 years of this great event in the Fox Cities!

A course map is attached and can be found online at: foxcitiesmarathon.org/race-week/maps/

Please notify the members of your church that it may take longer to get to services that day.  If your church is on one of the race routes, please tell your parishioners to be cautious of runners and walkers in the road while driving or walking as they go into and out of your services.

Please click here to see the attached letter from Julie, the Race Director. Thank you.

Thank You for Your Support of the Seminarian Collection

Thank You for Your Support of the Seminarian Collection

Over the past seventeen years, the Seminarian Collection has supported 38 men in their formation to the priesthood.  Thank you for your prayers and financial support that helped make this collection a success!

Our diocese has been blessed by a generous anonymous gift to the One by One Campaign.  This gift will cover the costs of our seminarians’ tuition, room and board, as well as the Kairos formation house for the next five years.  As a result of this generosity, the Seminarian Collection has been paused.

Please continue to pray for our seminarians and for an increase in vocations.  If you know a man that would make a great priest, please tell him and ask him to be open to God’s call.   To learn more about how we are supporting ministries that are raising vocations, please visit www.catholicfoundationgb.org/vocations

The 2023 Liturgical Calendar is now available for scheduling of Mass Intentions!

The 2023 Liturgical Calendar is now available for scheduling of Mass Intentions!

What does it mean to have a Mass “offered” for someone?

An individual may request that a Mass be offered for several reasons, for example: in thanksgiving, for the intentions of another person (such as on a birthday or anniversary), or as is most common, for the repose of the sole of someone who has passed away.

The number of Masses a person may request for a loved one will depend on when they passed away, please see below:

¨ Within one year of death: Five (5) Masses, two of which can be a weekend Mass

¨ Two years or more after death: Three (3) Masses, one of which can be a weekend Mass

Mass intentions are $10 a piece and you may pay either by  cash or check (made payable to St. John Parish). Please stop in at the parish office or call the office at (920) 788-9061. Thank you.
