Meet us in church during the event on Friday, December 1st from 2pm-8pm and Saturday, December 2nd from 8am – 3pm to pray for the children and families in need, for the workers at our event and for a successful delivery of the food.

Barb Kimme Memorial Traveling Rosary for Vocations: All men and women young and old, are invited to help us pray for our Diocese and an increase in vocations. According to the Vocation Ministry Analysis from 2015-2021, the state of priestly vocations in our Green Bay Diocese meets 3 criteria to be considered as “unhealthy”.

To help raise an awareness and assist in rectifying this situation, we the GB Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, have decided our best course of action is prayer to our Lord. We are sponsoring a sort of 9-month novena for vocations. We will gather at 9 different churches every 2nd Wednesday of the month from March – November. The agenda includes song, prayer, speaker and reception. Our eighth date and location is: 

Our ninth date and location is: Wednesday, November 8th at St. Jude the Apostle Parish/ Sacred Heart Church (located at: 519 Knapp Street in Oshkosh) from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. and Father Louis Golamari will be our speaker.

Catechists Needed for Middle School Level at St. John Nepomucene

St. John Nepomucene is in need of catechists for our middle school level Faith Development program. The classes are held three Wednesdays a month from 6:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Women Celebrate registration begins on November 8th!

WOMEN CELEBRATE REGISTRATION IS COMING!

Mark your calendars, WOMEN CELEBRATE online registration begins November 8th at 8 AM at www.womencelebrate.org!

We’re so excited about the upcoming retreat! It will take place February 9th through February 11, 2024 in Elkhart Lake. There is a NEW registration process this year, so please read through this email carefully.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

STEP 1: Ticket Purchase for the Retreat
You can purchase your retreat ticket on our website. This ticket includes all meals, snacks, and the cost of the retreat (speakers, equipment rental, etc.). Each woman attending can purchase her own ticket or you can have one person buy a ticket for everyone in the group. You are only able to pay with one credit card in a transaction so if you register more than one person, it will have to be charged to one credit card. The cost is $189/person (plus Eventbrite fees of approximately $11). Click here for a direct link to the ticket purchase.

STEP 2: Room Reservation at the Osthoff
THIS STEP IS DONE AFTER PURCHASING YOUR TICKET(S). Reserve a room for your group at the Osthoff Resort. You can do this by phone or online.

Option 1: Phone Reservation:
To make your reservation over the phone, simply call the Osthoff Hotel (855)876-3399 and let them know you’re attending Women Celebrate. They will assist you in reserving your room. You will only be charged for one night stay at the time of booking, and the balance will be due upon check-in.

Option 2: Online Reservation:
To reserve your room online, visit the Osthoff Resort’s website. During the booking process, you’ll be prompted to enter a specific group code. Our group code is 141525. This code will identify you as part of our group and ensure you receive rooms reserved for our group. The online booking system will only require you to pay for the first night at the time of booking, and the balance will be due upon check-in.

Special Weekend Rates for Women Celebrate!
1 Bedroom Suite (1 bed & 1 pull-out) $280-$300 (Total cost for 2 nights)
2 Bedroom Suite (2 beds & 1 pull-out) $320-$500 (Total cost for 2 nights)
3 Bedroom Suite (3 beds & 1 pull-out) $380-$600 (Total cost for 2 nights)

Note: These prices are the TOTAL cost of a room for both Friday & Saturday night, NOT per person. The cost would be split by the number of people in the room.

The First Solemnity of Our Lady of Champion – Monday, October 9, 2023

When: Monday, October 9th – Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. CT

Where: The Grounds of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion (4047 Chapel Drive, Champion, WI)

Short Description for Use: Join the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion on the grounds where the Queen of Heaven appeared for the first-ever Solemnity Mass of Our Lady of Champion on Monday, October 9, 2023! Mass begins at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Bishop Ricken and his fellow Bishops from around Wisconsin. It will be a historic day for Our Lady of Champion, the Diocese of Green Bay, and everyone in attendance! Let us know you are coming by visiting championshrine.org/oloc-solemnity!

Additional things to know about the Inaugural Solemnity:

  1. Bishops and priests from across Wisconsin and the U.S. will concelebrate the Mass.
  2. The Solemnity Mass on October 9th will be outdoors behind the Apparition Chapel, rain or shine!
  3. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating for the outdoor Mass!
  4. Golf carts will be available for transportation to and from the parking lot for those with limited mobility.
  5. A social gathering will take place following the Solemnity Mass to celebrate Our Lady of Champion and her apparitions in Champion, WI!

Rock Cancer – Join us on August 19th at Doyle Park

The Spierings Cancer Foundation’s 15th Annual Rock Cancer Event is scheduled for August 19th at Doyle Park in Little Chute starting at 1:00 p.m.!

Every 3rd Saturday of August at Doyle Park in Little Chute, WI. The Spierings Cancer foundation holds their annual fundraising event called Rock Cancer. It’s a daylong celebration of life with a variety of activities throughout the day for the entire family to enjoy. Starting with the I CAN-SUR FIVE 5K walk at 12pm, food, drink, large dedication screen, kids’ activities, many raffles, dunk tank, VIP picnic table seating, and most of all live music starting at 1pm.

Learn how to receive healing of past hurts and traumas, in a special school of prayer ministry, held at Mount Tabor Center in Menasha.
