St. John Nepomucene Cemetery Regulations – Effective October 15th

The St. John Cemetery is requesting that all spring and summer decorations be removed from the gravesites and other areas in the cemetery.

Feed My Starving Children MobilePack Event held at St. John Nepomucene from December 6th – 7th
Every year millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and undernutrition. Today, hunger still causes nearly half of deaths in children under 5 years old. This is heartbreaking. But you can make a difference!
Through our Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) MobilePack™ event at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Community on December 6th through December 7th, our community is responding to the cries of those in need by producing 145,000 nutritious meals for kids around the world. Â
We invite you to join us! We’re looking for 700+ volunteers to pack 145,000 meals and help us raise $45,000 for this MobilePack event. Adults and children (5 years and older) will measure and scoop ingredients, seal bags and prepare boxes for shipping.

Registration will open on Friday, October 25th. Visit stjn.org/feedmystarvingchildren to volunteer, donate or become an event sponsor.

Marriage Prep Class on October 19th at St. John Nepomucene
St. John Nepomucene’s fall Marriage Prep Class will take place on Saturday, October 19th in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending with the group attending the 4:30 p.m. Mass.

St. John Nepomucene “Love Thy Neighbor” FREE Meal – September 21st
Please join us after the 4:30 p.m. Mass as we hold our “Love Thy Neighbor” Meal!
When you leave the 4:30 p.m. Mass on September 21st, please help yourself to a FREE meal which includes a brat, hamburger, hot dog and condiments.
This will be held under the canopy (front entrance of church) and please take along another meal with you to provide to a family member, friend, neighbor or a stranger!
St. John Nepomucene Prayer Shawl Ministry – September 14th and September 15th
Our lovely prayer shawls will be available the weekend of September 14th and September 15th after all Masses. Please feel free to take one for yourself, a loved one or for someone you may know that would enjoy having one.
Also, feel free to stop any time at the parish office or you may take one from the basket in the Gathering Space .
Calling all High School Students! Join us for Homecoming Mass on September 28th!
Start off your Homecoming with the beautiful tradition at St. John Nepomucene where you attend the 4:30 p.m. Mass and receive a special blessing!

Treasurer Trustee elected for St. John Nepomucene

August 4th – 71st Annual St. John-Sacred Heart Picnic & Car Show
All are welcome to join us for our 71st Annual St. John-Sacred Heart Picnic and Car Show on August 4th. It will be held at Hwy 114 and 55 in Sherwood.
There will be an outdoor Mass at Sacred Heart at 10:30 a.m. The car show will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. There will be live music, games, a silent auction and so much more!

Catechists Needed for the Faith Development Program at St. John Nepomucene
St. John Nepomucene is in need of catechists for grades 7th through 10th for our Faith Development program.
7th – 8th grade classes are held three Wednesdays a month from 6:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
9th – 10th grade classes are held once a month on Sunday mornings from 8 a.m. until noon (attend 10:00 a.m. Mass together as a class).
