Middle School (Grades 5-8)

Grades 5 – 8 Faith Development Class Curriculum
Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program. It provides a safe, fun place for youth to find a strong Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Edge resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational and spiritual maturation of middle school youth. The resources present Catholic teaching in a way that young people can understand. Students are actively engaged in their faith using content that is relevant to teens. Creativity isn’t in short supply when it comes to our Edge Nights. Our program looks to captivate our young people with excitement, while deepening their relationship with Jesus and His Church.

Our 5th through 8th grade students will be attending the All Rise – The Northeast Wisconsin Passion Plan for their scheduled class night on March 25th.
Each student must have a signed “Student Release Form” by a parent and/or guardian.
Please click here for the form and return it to the Faith Development office by March 11th.
Love Begins Here
Love Begins Here (LBH) is a local, overnight mission trip for current 6th graders through graduating 8th graders, where they have the opportunity to serve in a joyful, Catholic community. Inspired by the life & witness of St. (Mother) Teresa of Calcutta, LBH invites teens to serve those in need within their Diocese, continuing Christʼs work on Earth with humility & love.
With a mission of putting neighbors first & doing small things with great love, our middle schoolers will perform a variety of service activities such as: serving at a food pantry, painting a fence, or planting a garden during the day. Follow that up with ice cream, swimming, prayer, & a ton of fun while making friends with teens from all over the Diocese.

TRIP DETAILS:
When: Monday, June 29th through Thursday, July 2nd (Activities typically begin around 4:00 PM on Monday & conclude around noon on Thursday).
Where: St. Bernard’s in Green Bay, WI
(Our group will meet at St. John’s & carpool together with chaperones.)
Cost: Students – $150 (with a $50 deposit to secure your spot). Adult Chaperones – FREE.
