Josie Vosters: Spirit of Kateri Award Recipient at Camp Tekakwitha

We’re proud to announce that Josie Vosters was recently a camper at Camp Tekakwitha, and at the end of their session, she was a recipient of the Spirit of Kateri Award!
 

Each week, Camp Tekakwitha staff awards the Spirit of Kateri Award to two exceptional campers in recognition of their leadership, love of Christ, and dedication to serving their cabinmates and friends at Camp Tekakwitha. Josie was one of the two campers awarded in her session, nominated by her counselors and selected by the staff!

As a young person, Saint Kateri Tekakwitha displayed a deep love for Jesus amidst numerous obstacles, and was a witness to Christ and a friend to many. St. Kateri Tekakwitha’s intercession guides the staff and campers of Camp Tekakwitha as they strive to imitate her witness of love, selflessness, and friendship. Josie was a definite leader in her cabin, and certainly emulated the “spirit” of our great patroness St. Kateri in acts of kindness and love.

Winners of the Spirit of Kateri Award are honored among the campers and parents, and receive a shirt with St. Kateri’s famous words, “I am not my own, I have given myself entirely to Jesus.” We’re so proud of Josie!

Josie graduated from  St. John Nepomucene Catholic School and will be a sophomore at Career Pathways at Little Chute High School.

It just is. We don’t understand how it all works but we use our smart phones. Not sure how it happens but if we flip the switch the lights go on.

So many things in life we don’t understand.

Jesus said, “This is my body. This is my blood” We will never understand it. Jesus said it. It just is. It is one of so many things that we don’t understand but He said it.

Little Flower Girls’ Club – Leader Needed!

Little Flowers Girls’ Club® teaches virtues through scripture, saints’ biographies and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Our program has delighted and instilled in our girls a love of our Catholic Faith. However, to keep this amazing program going, we are looking for a program leader to lead and organize it. St. Therese Grade School Alumni Day – All are welcome!

St. Therese Grade School Alumni Day

Open House / School Tours 10am – 3pm

Food booth open 11am – 2pm

Mass at 4:00pm

The St. Therese school building will be torn down later this year once the church expansion is completed. We are inviting ALL to come for one last chance to walk the halls and stroll through “the tunnel”. Please join us for this event! Sign up on our website, Facebook, by phone or email.
