This week (as of May 25, 2021), the Diocese of Green Bay came out with updated guidance on the celebration of the Mass in response to the continuing improvement in both the vaccination numbers and the number of new Covid cases.
Starting the weekend of June 5th and June 6th, we will be removing the requirement to wear masks and be socially distanced during Mass.
Anyone who for whatever reason wishes to continue to wear a mask may do so at their discretion. Also, we will have an area of the church where masks and social distancing will still be required for those who are more comfortable with the existing guidelines. This area will be in the left front half of the old section of the church.
Additional changes you will see include holy water in the fonts, collection baskets being passed and the sign of peace will be reinstated.
Thank you for your patience over these past 14-months and we ask that you continue to be respectful of everyone’s manner of worship.

PENTECOST Sunday is Sunday, May 23rd.
The Jewish people gathered every year in Jerusalem for Pentecost. The feast of Pentecost began because they wanted to remember how God took care of them and they offered a great harvest of ‘first fruits’.
In Acts 2, we know that Jerusalem was filled with people celebrating Pentecost. Jesus had told his friends to stay and wait for the Holy Spirit and on Pentecost it happened. They were empowered and given the gifts they needed to love and to live and to speak of the new mission of the church….that God’s love is for everyone! It is known as the ‘birthday of the church’. It was a new beginning of inviting everyone to know that Jesus died for them and that as a church we can make the journey together to our heavenly home.
Pentecost is celebrated 50 days after Easter. Red vestments and red altar cloths will be used as a symbol of the flames of fire noticed over the heads of the disciples in the upper room.
We also ask the Holy Spirit to empower US to love, serve and share our faith!
