Updated Stipend and Stole Fee Structure – Effective July 1, 2024
The Diocese of Green Bay and our parishes are grateful to all those who have generously provided a donation for Masses, funerals, weddings and Quinceaneras in the past. The donation for these sacraments and services has remained the same for over thirty years throughout the Dioceses of Wisconsin. Recently, when the Bishops of the State of Wisconsin gathered, they decreed that stipends should be adjusted to reflect the current time. The new stipend structure is as follows:        Mass Stipend — $20      Funeral Stole Fee — $75      Wedding & Quinceanera Stole Fee — $100
This new fee structure will become effective July 1, 2024. It will not be applied retroactively to those who have already paid the appropriate amount from the former fee scale. The new fee structure will be applied to all new requests received as of July 1, 2024. As always, if someone is not able to offer the stipend, the parish is always happy to provide the sacrament or service with no fee. Please know, too, that any stipend money collected goes to the parish in support of its ministry and services provided to the parish community; it does not go personally to the priest.
Please contact the parish office at (929) 788-9061 if you have any questions.
Each year at this time, St. John Nepomucene welcomes donations to the Easter Flower Fund in memory of departed loved ones. Donations, in any amount, can be made at the parish office from now until Monday, March 25th. This fund enables us to decorate St. John Nepomucene not only during Easter, but throughout the entire year!
St. John Nepomucene Little Flowers Girls’ Club had great success with Ringing Bells on December 11th!
The St. John Nepomucene Little Flowers Girls’ Club rang bells on Monday, December 11th for The Salvation Army. They rang bells in various shifts at the Piggly Wiggly in Little Chute and at Walgreens in Little Chute.
For the entire day, the kettles where the Little Flowers were participating, raised over $550 for The Salvation Army’s programs and services! A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and made the girls’ day by saying “hi” or taking a candy cane from them. We pray that everyone has a blessed holiday season!
At the end of November, the Mission Club had the Community Clothes Closet come and pickup many boxes and bags of items. It all fit in their huge van! We also received several handmade dresses by Jackie Van Dyn Hoven and these will be brought to the Salvatorian Mission Warehouse in New Holstein to be shipped to Third World Countries.
The Mission Club will be open on December 20th from 7:45 am until 4 pm but CLOSED on December 27th for the Christmas Holiday.
A great HUGE thank you to the Little Chute High School DECA Club from their “Trick or Can” Event that they held recently. They collected over 800 canned food items for the St. John Food Pantry!
A great big THANK YOU to Culver’s in Little Chute for running their “Concretes for a Cause” this past November. In 5 days, they raised $1,300 for the St. John Food Pantry!
Each year at this time, St. John Nepomucene welcomes donations to the Christmas Flower Fund in memory of departed loved ones. Donations in any amount may be made at the parish office from now until December 18th.
There will be envelopes at the Information Desk too. This not only enables us to decorate St. John Nepomucene during Christmas, but throughout the whole year!
