SPIRITUS Ministries is currently recruiting young adults to serve next year as missionaries leading retreats and igniting our Catholic faith students in grades 2–12. 

Are you in your twenties and looking for a meaningful next step? SPIRITUS is inviting young adults to serve as missionaries leading Catholic youth retreats with no fundraising obligations. CIA-Faith Mission Operatives ministry is excited to announce: Ed Jozsa who will present “ENCOUNTERING GOD on Death’s Doorstep”on October 20th at Xavier Fine Arts

As the Church prepares to celebrate All Saints and All Souls days on November 1st and November 2nd, our CIA-Faith Mission Operatives apostolate is excited to offer another powerful story of a Catholic whose life and faith were radically changed through a Near Death Experience (NDE). 

On Monday, October 20th at 7 p.m. in the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre, Ed Jozsa will present “ENCOUNTERING GOD on Death’s Doorstep”, his fascinating account of both terror and a glimpse of Heaven that occurred during and after he was crushed and trapped in his car for hours following an accident.

Janssen Forum on Thursday, September 18th at the Mount Tabor Center Chapel

Join us for the Janssen Forum Luncheon Speaker Series, held on Thursday, September 18th. Our guest speaker, Heather Voss, Faithful Navigator, will share her stories of faith.

The program begins at 11:15 a.m. with Mass held in the Mount Tabor Center Chapel, followed by a light lunch.

Interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about the Catholic faith?

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) (formerly known as RCIA) is the process by which the Catholic Church welcomes new members into its midst or completes the process of Christian initiation. This process involves receiving 1 or all 3 sacraments of initiation which include Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

During the process of initiation, a person grows in knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church, explores the meaning of the Scriptures for daily life, develops friendships with members of the parish community, learns to pray and worship in the Catholic tradition and discovers the joy of serving others.

If you are interested in learning more about this process or the Catholic faith, please contact the parish office at (920) 788-9061 and ask for Deacon Dave Van Eperen and he will provide you with more more information. You may also email him at: dvaneperen@stjn.org. Lessons are set to begin around the end-of-September 2025.

FORMED Video of the Month for August – St. John Nepomucene

The FORMED Video of the Month is “Radiating Joy: The Michelle Duppong Story”. The Michelle Duppong story is the story of Servant of God Michelle Duppong, who bore witness to Christ through heroic suffering and a passion for inviting others to be transformed by His love.

In 2014, Michelle was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer while serving as the Director of Adult Faith Formation for the Diocese of Bismarck. Before that, Duppong had served as a FOCUS missionary for six years. She battled the disease with perseverance and a docile spirit until December 25, 2015, when she passed away at the age of 31. On November 1, 2022, Bishop David Kagan celebrated the Opening Mass for the Cause of Canonization.
